Mindy Shea and her husband, Don are two of the most sought-after advisers to clients in the North Shore. She and her husband formed the Shea Group in 2006 specializing in the sale of new and existing homes in Evanston, Wilmette, Kenilworth and Winnetka.
Mindy and Don bring an unusual set of skills to the business. Both are graduates of Georgetown University with Don holding an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and Mindy having completed her graduate work at University of Chicago. Upon graduating, they both spent years in advertising and marketing for such companies as Foote Cone and Belding, Saatchi and Saatchi NY, DDB Needham and Riddell.
With this expertise in marketing, market analysis and negotiation, the Sheas bring a more informed approach to the buying and selling side of every real estate transaction. As a result of this, within 3 years in the Real Estate business, Mindy had become a member of her firm’s prestigious President’s Club and is consistently one of the top agents in the entire Chicago region holding the number one spot in her previous firm’s largest Evanston office. The Sheas are 25 year residents of the North Shore. They have three children attending Northwestern, Brown University and Connecticut College. They are avid sailors with all of the children competing at the national level and have sailed for the US Sailing Team and on the Olympic Development team. They also enjoy racing on the Great Lakes and have completed several Chicago to Mackinac races with their grandfather on the GL70, Windancer. Don has served as president of the High School Sailing Association for the past few years.
