Kate joined the @properties family in 2010. Prior to joining @properties, Kate worked in the public accounting sector and specialized in tax consulting and due diligence services for retailers, manufacturers, and financial services companies.
Kate holds a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a B.S.B.A. from Drake University. Kate has been a licensed attorney in Illinois since 2003.
Kate believes a good real estate consultant possesses the skills of being a good listener, communicator, attention to detail, and guide before, during, and after the purchase or sale of a home. She leverages her education and prior professional experience in working with her clients.
Kate is also a member of the Chitown Property Group within @properties, where she can further collaborate on marketing and knowledge of today's changing market with her team. The team is made up of 8 licensed real estate consultants who are versed in all aspects of the marketing and sales of single family homes, condos and multi-unit properties. Kate grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, and moved to Chicago in 2000. She lived for a period of two years in New York City, New York beginning in 2006 before relocating back to Chicago in 2008. She has lived in Wicker Park/Bucktown, Lakeview, and currently resides in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. Kate purchased her first condo in 2004 and enjoys managing her investment properties as well as staying connected to the personal aspect of buying and selling real estate.
Kate serves on the Drake Alumnae Women's Connection Committee and stays active in various charitable causes. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, eating/cooking, and traveling. She also loves the outdoors (even in Chicago) and if the temperature is at least 32 degrees Fahrenheit or above, you will often find her running along the lake front path.
