e-Pro, Relocation Certified
Long before becoming a Realtor in 1999, I bought a 3-flat in the Chicago area with my sister. Great idea, good investment, but we had no experience buying, selling, managing or mortgaging any property. With our combined writing, sales and design experience, we dove into the unknown waters of real estate. It was not easy, but we figured it out, by trial and error. When we sold the flat, we walked away with the biggest checks we'd ever seen. So, despite the challenges, I knew I would never rent again.
My goal is to help clients make smart real estate purchases. And, to make it as simple and stress-free as possible. Buying and selling real estate is exciting, yet stressful. My job is to stay calm and focused on our goals. Many of my clients tell me I'm "not a typical Realtor," because I'm more focused on listening to them, rather than telling them what to do. I've represented a wide variety of clients including small business owners, policemen, teachers, creative professionals, corporate managers, I.T. consultants, attorneys, doctors and engineers. Prior to selling real estate, I worked as a Field Liaison for Global Best Practices, a website developed by Arthur Andersen LLP, forging relationships with business consultants. As Senior Acquisitions Manager at the Nightingale Conant Corporation, I developed new audio/video products by negotiating rights to acquire intellectual properties from many best-selling authors. I worked wtih Stephen Covey, Dr. Wayne Dyer, John Gray, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Larry Dossey, Tom Peters, Marianne Williamson, Larry King and Ram Dass, just to name a few.
I have personally bought, sold and renovated real estate for personal and investment purposes in the Chicago area
since 1985. Being the daughter of a Navy pilot, I grew up on the former Glenview Naval Air Station, which is now known
as The Glen, a vibrant hub of activity in Glenview. The historic Wagner Farm in east Glenview was owned by relatives who let us visit, see the animals and witness the simplicity of their lives. After leaving Glenview, I lived in Northbook, Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Edgewater, West Rogers Park and currently reside in Evanston.
Helping buyers and sellers from Chicago to the North Shore, bridging two worlds, both urban and suburban is what I do best. Some of my outside volunteer activities over the years have been with The Inspiration Cafe, Chicago Literacy Volunteers, The Night Ministry, The Lou Gherig Foundation and Unity in Chicago.
