As a longtime real estate broker and attorney, James Slater uses his expertise to serve clients from Chicago to the North Shore.  He grasps the importance of understanding their needs, responding promptly to questions and guiding them through the often complex process of real estate transactions.

Utilizing his strong negotiating skills and market knowledge, James is well-versed in properties ranging from condominiums in Chicago to North Shore single-family homes.  Additionally, he has represented sellers in distressed sales and rehabbed and owned an investment property in Chicago.

James has lived in the Chicagoland area for over 25 years, calling the Lincoln Park, Bucktown, Wicker Park and Wrigleyville neighborhoods "home."  For the past decade, he has resided in Wilmette with his wife and two sons. He has served on the school board of Saint Francis Xavier School and coached soccer in the Wilmette Park District League.

James graduated with a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Iowa and a J.D. from Loyola University School of Law.  Prior to concentrating on his real estate practice, James was a trial attorney who litigated over 50 jury trials and hundreds of arbitration hearings.
