As a Chicagoan with more than 10 years of real estate experience, Tom recently joined @properties to help people make wise decisions in real estate.

Tom Edson was raised in Kenilworth and currently lives in Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood. At the age of 15, Tom was interested in real estate and used his childhood savings as a down payment on his first rental property at Purdue University. After graduating from New Trier high school, he continued to purchase investment properties while earned his Bachelors in Actuarial Science and Applied Statistics from Purdue University. After graduation, he worked as a consulting actuary for Towers Watson where he performed asset/liability management for many fortune 500 corporations. He then went on to work as a business strategy consultant for a few years before the call of real estate overwhelmed him. In August 2012, he started his own real estate investment fund called Edgewater Capital LLC.

As an Eagle Scout, Tom continues to be active in scouting and is the current Crew Advisor (scoutmaster) of Venture Crew 13 in Kenilworth. He also works with the Northeast Illinois Council's Eagle Board to advance the ideals of scouting and uphold the standards to achieve the rank of Eagle.

Tom currently serves as President and CEO of Edgewater Capital LLC where he oversees all transactions and operations of the fund. In addition to managing the sale and purchase of his firm's properties, he started acting as a real estate broker for his friends and family and fell in love with helping others make wise decisions in real estate. The love of helping others is what brought Tom to @properties where he hopes to put his vast knowledge and experience to work for you!
