Edgewater: Located between Uptown and Rogers Park on Chicago's far North Side, Edgewater was once a playground for Chicago's early 20th century elite. Today, the stately mansions and posh hotels have largely been replaced by high-rises with spectacular lake views and easy access to beaches and parks. The neighborhood offers excellent access to trains and public transportation, and Loyola University is also nearby.
