Love where you live.
@PROPERTIES motto is: “Love where you live” and I do! I have lived in Winnetka for 21 years and I love this community. The people are generous and community-minded, the school system rivals any private school in the country, and there is something about having Lake Michigan be part of your daily life with its ever-changing beauty and vastness.
I love selling the value of the North Shore because I believe in it wholeheartedly: my family has thrived in this community and I am blessed to call it home.
Strength of Family.
I grew up in Mason City, Iowa, where my great-grandfather founded The Mason City Lumber Company in 1903. My family helped build our town. My Dad was a Structural Engineer and Architect and the focus of our company was quality and commitment to our customers. My childhood was spent in new construction projects and developments; surveying land, holding measuring tapes, reading Architectural Record and watching my Dad design amazing homes for people. Property development and real estate are in my genes.
Strength of Experience.
After graduating from the University of Iowa, I went on to work in advertising, marketing and sales. My advertising experience includes: BBDO Chicago, BBDO Minneapolis, and Fallon Worldwide. In marketing and sales, I worked for Dun and Bradstreet, specifically with The Donnelley Directory and Dontech. This base of experience has helped me create quality advertising and marketing programs for my sellers’ listings and is an important point of difference in my work.
Strength of Community.
For the past 21 years, I have raised a family, been an active community volunteer and participated in all the aspects of community sports and performing arts: I know all the programs the North Shore has to offer to families!
My community leadership experience includes: Chairman of the Board for The Joyful Noise Preschool at The Kenilworth Union Church, PTA President of Greeley School in Winnetka, Chair of the Winnetka Public Schools Foundation Phone-a-Thon, Chair of Washburne Graduation, Member of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Theatre of Winnetka. I also helped produce Fiddler on the Roof and Oliver, have taught Sunday School at The Kenilworth Union Church for 12 years, participated on the New Trier Parent Board Association for 4 years, and recently acted as Junior Board Advisor for the Winnetka Rush Presbyterian Hospital Women’s Auxiliary Board.
My family has also been active in various sports and performing arts programs: New Trier High School Varsity tennis, Co-op (Musical Theatre at New Trier), soccer and basketball teams. Trevian/FC United Select soccer programs, Northwestern Elite Lacrosse team, Lakeshore Lacrosse, Joy of the Game basketball, New Trier feeder basketball, Children’s Theatre of Winnetka, Fisher Dance program, North Shore Racquet Club, Winnetka Ice Angels and more. If you have a question regarding the schools, community, sports or performing arts, I am a great resource!
Focused on your Goals.
Most important, for the past five years, I have been a top performer for Coldwell Banker Winnetka North. Overall, I finished in the top 2% of all real estate agents INTERNATIONALLY and earned the designation of PRESIDENT’S CIRCLE.
I have run the Chicago Marathon for the past two years. I equate finding or selling a home to the marathon; it is a journey that requires perseverance, patience, and hard work to achieve your goal of finding the best home for your family.
It is my goal to help you and your family find the happiness and success that is possible in this community. We can do this together!
Clients are saying:
"Sarah was AMAZING to say the least! I was pretty nervous about moving to Chicago because I had never spent time here before, but Sarah was extremely knowledgeable about the city and all of the different neighborhoods and cool spots, and she helped me to pick the the perfect neighborhood for me. I flew in from MN to look at apartments for the day, and I didn’t have a car, but Sarah drove me all over the city — we saw 15 apartments in one day! She showed me a variety of apartments in different neighborhoods, and helped me weigh the pros and cons of each of them before we agreed on my perfect little walk up in Gold Coast! Sarah was even sweet enough to visit me at my apartment once I moved in, brought me a house warming gift — she felt more like a mom than she did a broker. Sarah helped me to find the perfect home, and I would not have been able to do it without her!"
"Sarah is very helpful and patient. She knows the local community very well and ubdstands my needs to very detailed level such as school and commute. She does all she can to help her clients to get their dream property and has shown me more than 20 different properties before we can confirm the final offer. Highly recommend her!"
"We had the pleasure of working with Sarah during the process of buying our condo, and then again when selling 5 years later. I can't recommend Sarah highly enough! She is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. She expertly priced our condo when selling. It was only on the market for a week and we made a great profit!"
"Sarah’s energy and knowledge of the North Shore market are outstanding! Sarah is always accessible and honest and dedicated to her clients. Sarah was our listing agent in selling our home, which for personal reasons, we then chose not to sell at the time. You will be in excellent hands with Sarah as your realtor!"
"Sarah was great in advising and closing the sale of our home. She has excellent knowledge of the North Shore market and was tireless in marketing our home. It was a pleasure working with her and we would recommend her to anyone looking to buy or sell on the North Shore."
