Katie Bishop is not your average real estate agent. Despite helping to close over $154 million in annual sales as a top producer on the Emily Sachs Wong team, she isn’t driven by numbers – she’s driven by her passion for real estate and her genuine desire to help her clients.
After graduating from The University of Georgia, Katie worked as a makeup artist for Bobbi Brown before diving into the real estate industry in 2004. She takes a personalized approach to real estate and understands the delicate balance of a new home being both a financial and emotional investment. Katie also enjoys rehabbing homes and has an eye for interior design. If a client is getting ready to list their home, you can usually find Katie rearranging furniture in order to present the most visually appealing set-up.
Katie credits her success to her honest nature and strong work ethic. Her clients also appreciate her grit, tenacity and dedication, which was never more apparent than in 2017, when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Having suffered a seizure, Katie was not allowed to drive, but that didn’t stop her from working. Instead, she spent the six months after her treatment as a “real estate agent on foot.”
Deeply passionate about philanthropy, Katie takes part in community service efforts in her free time. She has served on the Children’s Service Board at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital, and participates in year-round fundraisers for the American Brain Tumor Association. Katie and her sister, Jennie, host an annual fundraiser that benefits the ABTA, and together they have raised almost $300,000. Katie is also a mentor for those with brain tumors.
When she is not working or fundraising, you can find Katie taking morning walks on The 606 Trail with her husband and Australian Labradoodle, Koko, or in her kitchen hosting a dinner party! She is an avid foodie and loves trying out new restaurants around the city.
Katie primarily serves buyers and sellers in Bucktown and Wicker Park, Lincoln Park, Gold Coast, West Loop, Wilmette, Winnetka, and Evanston. She is a proud member of @properties’ Road to Rolex club, which recognizes the firm’s top producers.
