His unique real-estate background began as an inquisitive young man fascinated with construction and design, undertaking renovation projects as an adolescent in his family home. Tackling his first major project at 26 years old, Cameron renovated a 5,000 square foot 1888 Louis Sullivan grey-stone row home, where he still resides today.
While developing real estate, designing homes and managing numerous real-estate projects. Cameron maintained engagement in every aspect of the process, from acquisition, to sale or lease. Cameron has established a network of skilled, reliable contractors and is well versed in City of Chicago building codes and the zoning process.
This broad foundation of real-estate experience and knowledge enabled Cameron to become proficient at providing recommendations to enhance functionality, maximize appeal, in addition to optimizing and prioritizing budgets allocations. He has a clear understanding on how to deliver the greatest esthetic and investment impact by transforming imperfect real estate into a clean dramatic living space.
Cameron has recently designed a vintage inspired Lakeview penthouse, a 5,400 square foot transitional grey stone row home, a contemporary Gold Coast Pied-à-Terre, a 700 square foot skyline rooftop terrace, a Bronzeville Hide Away in addition to many other properties.
As a real estate broker and designer, along with his extensive experience as a construction manager, Cameron works with his purchasers to help them identify the right home and visualize the potential it has to suite their tastes and lifestyles. He quickly and efficiently works with his clients to determine the approximate cost of a project, which saves his clients time and money, allowing their focus to remain on purchasing and enjoying the home that will be that perfect place to call their “castle”. Cameron also offers this same wealth of experience to sellers, so that prior to listing the property for sale, it is prepared and tweaked to maximize value on sale.
His natural passion for architecture, design and construction, coupled with a keen entrepreneurial spirit, has enabled him to develop a skill set that facilitates his clients in realizing their goals. Cameron’s clients benefit from his breadth of knowledge and rigorous negotiation skills; but more importantly his appreciation for the magnitude of this life event.
Cameron’s passion for real estate paralleled his corporate career, developing, designing.
Initially choosing a more traditional path, he garnered a combined 15 years of sales and marketing experience developing and implementing strategies for 2 Fortune 100 companies. Cameron’s analytic approach enabled him to cultivate partnerships and develop lasting relationships with his clients.
While these experiences led to corporate success, over time it became evident that Cameron's first love was real estate.
