Cheryl Waldstein offers top-notch service and expertise to her buyers and sellers. With her eyes and ears on the market, she previews homes and reports detailed observations to her buyers, saving them time and energy in their home search. With sellers, she applies her market-tested approach to making their home buyer-ready. Beautifully composed marketing, expert negotiating, and clear, consistent communication throughout the transaction have been the hallmarks of Cheryl's success as a real estate broker. Cheryl offices out of @properties in Glencoe, and makes it a point to become an expert in any area important to her clients. Her most common areas of service on the North Shore include: Glencoe, Winnetka, Wilmette, Northbrook, Highland Park, and Deerfield. In the city she is well versed in Old Town, Lincoln Park, River North, West Loop and Lakeview neighborhoods.

"Sellers, Start Packing!" Beginning with her first visit, Cheryl views your home as if she were your buyer, with a critical eye that works in your favor. She strategizes with you how to best prepare your home for the market and has great insight into what buyers like and what they don't. She works with you to determine how to show your home in its best light, to be most appealing and thereby fetch the highest market price for your home. Her up-to-the-minute market knowledge combined with nearly twenty years of residential real estate experience serving both buyers and sellers makes her a winning choice for anyone wishing to realize their real estate dreams. With a positive outlook, she directs creative energy and business savvy to bring sellers maximum exposure in the competitive real estate market. "Start Packing," she advises her sellers. "Do you really want to pay the movers to cart all that stuff to your new home, and then have to arrange a curbside pickup for that same stuff after you've unpacked? Cleaning and clearing out before you list is the one time you'll get paid for it. You'll just look better to buyers, that's the goal." With first and second showings occurring online, beautiful photos and 3D tours are a must, and your home's best features will shine when rooms are in showing shape.

"Buyer's, Be Ready!" Cheryl knows it's never too early for buyers to begin building market knowledge. "Previewing listings and visiting homes, even if buyers aren't quite ready to move, is a great way to give buyers insight into what their money will buy. They'll have a better chance of knowing when they find "the one" and whether or not "the one" is priced right. Cheryl asks buyers to share their wish list and she gets moving, sending listings for review, previewing homes that pique her buyers' interest and reporting back to them in detail. She offers personalized luxury service to every buyer, working with as much urgency as they like. Yes, she'll wear her usual heels or platform shoes to tour homes, but for buyers who want one of her Power Tours (8-10 homes in one day), she says, "Put on your running shoes!" If Power Tours aren't your style, if you have more time and want to go more slowly, Cheryl will tailor the tour to suit your needs. When you find your home, Cheryl negotiates wholeheartedly on your behalf, and once agreeable terms are reached, Cheryl helps move you through the subsequent stages of attorney review and inspection to ensure the smoothest transaction possible, from accepted offer to successful close.

"It's Your Move!"  Cheryl's client-centered business approach focuses on what works best for her sellers and buyers, their wishes and their timing. "Years ago I had a wonderful seller who listed with me and then felt like the time wasn't right for her and her husband to sell. 'This is your livelihood, but this is our life,' the seller said. That rang so true to me," Cheryl says. She always remembers that her work is about people's life, their family, their home.

Cheryl has spent much of her life on the North Shore. She's lived in Glencoe, Wilmette and Highland Park, where she and her husband raised three daughters, now grown and living on their own. She spent her post-college years living in Chicago, and five years in St Louis, when her husband's job took their young family there. She has a special understanding of the challenges facing families who relocate. Cheryl loves her work as a real estate broker. When she's not with wonderful clients, she enjoys hiking and biking on the Green Bay Trail, taking the North Branch Trail to the Botanic Gardens near her Highland Park home, picnicking at Ravinia Festival during the summer, and cooking and baking for family and friends who often seem to end up on her porch.
