Katie was born in the North Shore and has lived in several Chicago neighborhoods over the years. She and her husband have made Logan Square home since 2018. In her spare time, she loves checking out new restaurants, running on the lake, and volunteers with Big Shoulders Fund in Chicago. Brittany's career in real estate seems almost preordained: her mother, father and older sister all work in the industry in the Indianapolis area. Despite having grown up immersed in the details of real estate and development, Brittany's first career move was in the hospitality industry. "After graduating from Indiana University, I moved to Chicago and began working at luxury hotels, organizing weddings and other events. After eight years, I wanted to do something more entrepreneurial and started reading books about real estate and investing. After receiving my license, I immediately fell in love with the industry."
Brittany's focus on providing unparalleled customer service has its roots in her hospitality career, and her clients appreciate the care she takes and the education she provides regarding what to expect throughout the process. Demonstrating that care, Brittany recently landscaped a seller-client's yard, and was seen climbing and trimming trees in the parkway to prepare the home for sale.
When assessing the factors behind Brittany's success in the industry, her marketing and negotiation skills are chief among them, as is her commitment to being available to her clients. "It's really important that my clients can reach me." she says. "Availability during their purchase or sale is key to my clients' success. After their purchase or sale is complete, I also enjoy the ongoing relationship we've developed beyond any transaction."
