He asked probing questions to gauge our interests, experiences and expectations. We appreciated this "grilling" as it helped us clarify what we did and did not want.After the initial meeting, we starting looking at listings and sent Craig listings to consider. We had very specific desires for location, price and features. There were very few listings that met what we wanted. Craig would encourage us to expand our expectations, to consider compromising on one tn or another. This was always presented in a reasonable, supportive way and helped us further clarify what was truly important to us and what trade offs we could live with.When we visited properties, he was a font of useful knowledge, pointing out issues to consider, explaining the +'s and -'s.Eventually we found a property that seemed to be a strong fit: a condo in River North. "I met Craig first in March of 2013. After taking Craig's advice on what to do with our condo to get the best price possible (new counter tops, de-cluttering, new paint, the philosophy of only adding furnishings that we could take with us, and really giving the condo a "hip, sexy, west loop" feel), I contacted him a year later in March of 2014. He was very excited about what we'd done to the place, and very happy we took his advice......and so were we. The condo went on the market on Tuesday, we were under contract by the weekend. No other condo has gone for a higher price. We set a record for the building.That was just our sale, though. During the very stressful purchase process Craig was very patient and understanding (we weren't sometimes). He was able to make the process as fun as it could be. Very positive. He worked with me over several weeks to find and purchase a condo in Lincoln Square. Responsive and friendly throughout even at a time that the real estate market was heating up and most everyone in it was overwhelmed and unable to keep up. Suggested and brought with him a team of providers (mortgage, legal) he recommended who took me through the buying process smoothly other than a few hiccups here and there."

After interviewing several realtors, we selected Craig because he presented fresh staging ideas and we were attracted to his personality (earnest - yet energetic + someone we wanted to spend time with over the next month). Craig walked through every room in our home offering staging ideas and suggestions. When we finished making these small changes, our home looked better than it had ever looked before. Six weeks later, we accepted an offer that was $10k more than both of the other two units sold for! "I contacted Craig based on a friend's recommendation, though she had used him to buy a home rather than sell one. Immediately, I was impressed by his enthusiasm and passion for his profession, plus his friendly and charming personality. He was knowledgeable from the get-go with regard to the neighborhood market, and I appreciated his honesty when evaluating my condo's value and what he believed was necessary to create an ideal first impression. Not much needed to be done because I had basically completely remodeled and updated my condo upon buying it, and I kept it very clean. But I have to say that his minor recommendations, which involved, for my condo, mainly rearranging furniture and adding lights and color, greatly improved the flow and look of my home. I regret that I hadn't applied his changes years before. In short, listen to what he says, because he knows what he's talking about when it comes to interior design. One thing though - he strongly suggested that I purchase lighting from the higher-end local stores, and while I'm sure these lamps would've looked great in my place, I was able to find cheaper options that significantly improved the look probably just as well.I always felt in control during the entire home-selling process, particularly when it came to the list price. I'l admit that I was a bit ambitious with what I thought I could get for my condo, but he agreed to list it higher than what he suggested, without hesitation (granted, we weren't that, far apart). And, he was never pushy or eager to just make a quick sale and move on; he put my wishes first. He treated me like a person, not just a potential sale.I had a steady flow of traffic through my home, and while I wish there was more, I blame the market and neighborhood, not Craig's efforts; my place was listed everywhere, and he constantly pushed it upon potential buyers. I eventually agreed to a sales price a bit lower than what I was hoping for (but still higher than I bought it for, which most people nowadays would be happy with). While I was disappointed at the time, looking back, I'm happy I got out when I did; the market over there doesn't seem to have improved all that much, and now I'm sure I most likely couldn't have gotten a better price if I hired someone other than Craig.It's one thing to recommended his services to you strangers reading this, but just so you know, I had recommended him to a friend of mine as well. She even proceeded to continue use him to buy a new home after she had used him to sell hers."

"Craig went above and beyond for us as clients, not only offering his expertise and consultation, but taking care of things we didn't have time to deal with while our condo was on the market. He made the entire selling process very easy and we were happy with the end result. We chose Craig because he worked with us in the past and we were happy to have used him again to sell our condo in the city. During our initial consultation, Craig was extremely prepared with area comps and his thoughts on where we might price our condo. We had been renting it out for 7 years and still had renters living in the condo when we put in on the market. Craig gave us good recommendations on how to stage with renters in the condo and was great about communicating directly with them when it came time for showings. With both of us working full time, juggling kid's school/activities, and not living close to the condo we were trying to sell, Craig really helped take care of things we didn't have time to deal with. He prepared excellent marketing materials with amazing photography, which is an important tool Additionally, he shared detailed notes on all the showings. During the offer negotiation process, he was able to get us to where we wanted to be. Craig was extremely responsive throughout the selling process, from the very beginning to the final phases. "I was referred to Craig Easly by a good friend of mine. I had been thinking about buying a place for the past couple of years, but being that it felt like a huge commitment and I can be slightly lazy, I hadn't made any real efforts to do so at that point. As soon as my friend put me in touch with Craig, my search took off immediately with no effort from me (a dream come true). The first time I met Craig, we talked for about an hour and went over all the details of the home buying process, including the exact qualities I was looking for, such as price range and location. This was a Thursday. We began our search that Saturday. Craig was able to pick up very quickly on the type of places I did and did not like. At one point, we walked into a condo that I knew was not what I wanted, and without even needing to ask for my opinion, Craig rushed us through the tour and stated that while it was a great place, it would not be a good fit for me. Mind reading is an excellent quality in a Realtor.
