Eve Del Monte grew up in Wilmette and is a New Trier graduate. After college she worked as a research assistant at Northwestern Medical School until she realized she was better suited for the business world.
Mike Del Monte grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and attended Bowling Green University.
Eve was introduced to Mike in 1983. They shared a love of antiques and historic homes. He encouraged her to attend real estate school at the real estate office he managed on Chicago’s north side. They have been working together in real estate sales and/or appraisals ever since.
They were married in 1984 and moved to Highland Park in the mid 90’s. Their two children graduated from Highland Park High School. Both Eve and Mike believe that community counts. Eve volunteered as a soccer coach, library helper, and girl scout leader, and also served on the board at the Highland Park Community House and the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce. Mike was a volunteer coach at The Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club in Chicago, Park District coach in Highland Park and Highwood, and a sophomore football coach at Highland Park High School. Their son attended Carroll University as a 4 year student athlete. He is working in marketing and business in Chicago. Their daughter is a business major in her final year at Purdue. She continues the family tradition of volunteering by spending spring breaks working in "Hurricane Relief" areas of the south, and philanthropy projects at school.
