Real Estate is in her blood. Karen's father was a life-long realtor and past President of the Omaha Board of Realtors.

Knowledge of the neighborhoods on the north side of Chicago and the local schools as well as the selective enrollment process is Karen's strong suit. She is also very well informed of private school options in the city. She has first-hand experience of the city parks and park district programs through years of watching Welles Park baseball games and AYSO soccer games and driving to practice fields all over the north side of the city.

Karen believes in giving back to the community. She volunteered regularly at Walter Payton College Prep where both of her kids attended high school; most notably, running the spirit wear sales for the school and chaperoning Sweetness Day service trips. She also has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and is currently an Old Town School of Folk Music volunteer plus she attends multiple fundraising events for various causes throughout the year. After each closing, she will make a donation to @gives back.

Karen has lived in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago for thirty years and presently resides there with her husband Dave and her dog Nellie.
