October 2015: Goodbye HUD, Hello TRID
This month the HUD statement goes away forever. It will be replaced with by "TRID" TILA / RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule. The TRID consists of a Loan Estimate (LE) and a Closing Disclosure (CD). The change will make for a smoother and more transparent closing process. This Wall Street Journal article lays it our pretty simmply.
