A 31 year resident of Lakewood Balmoral, Maureen is deeply involved in the community. Her two adult daughters went to a local grade school where she presided over the parents' organization and created after-school activities. She is the current secretary of the Lakewood Balmoral Residents' Council, a supporter of the Griffin Theatre and sits on a committee of Friends of the Parks which is working to improve the quality and quantity in our lakefront park system. Maureen believes that strong communities are sustained by strong local relationships.

India Whiteside Tougne has lived and practiced real estate in Lincoln Park and the Andersonville area since 1998. India has helped buyers and sellers all over Chicago, from the South Loop to Rogers Park, and the lakefront to Humboldt Park, specializing in Lakewood/Balmoral where she resides and Lincoln Park where her children attend school. Aside from owning investment property, India is a homeowner and renovator, and can easily relate to all the joys and woes that entails!
India is an active member of both the LSC and the PTA at Lincoln Elementary. As the Wellness Chair for the P.T.A., she has implemented a food-allergy safety program, and Kids In Motion, an indoor exercise program during the winter season. In this capacity India also organizes an evening lecture series for parents. In her second term on the Local School Council, she heads up the Organizations Committee. India also participates in fundraising (organizing a CSA) for EFAC, l’Ecole Franco-Americain de Chicago, and is fluent in French.
She lives with her husband and two children in their beloved Lakewood/Balmoral, where India has long served as a block representative on the Resident’s Council and helped organize the ever-popular Harvest Moon Festival.
Originally from Wilmette, Illinois, India received her BA degree out east at the College of William and Mary, where she studied economics, marketing, and finance. She takes continuing education courses for real estate on a regular basis, including completing the month-long course of study entailed in being a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). Always looking for better tools to better serve her clientele, India has joined forces with other top agents on Chicago’s north side to create the northedgegroup. They are dynamic team of highly successful agents with combined sales of over $150,000,000, working together to realize greater success for their clients and, thereby, themselves.
