With over 25 years of sales and marketing experience, Cathy Ivcich brings great knowledge of the Chicago marketplace to her real estate career at @properties.
Starting out in advertising for top retail companies, such as Sears and Macy’s, Cathy conceptualized, wrote and produced marketing campaigns for print, radio and television. Real estate followed as a natural progression for someone whose family has always believed in land and buildings.
Cathy represents buyers and sellers in the city and near suburbs. She also has extensive experience working with homeowners relocating to or from Chicago. With keen negotiating skills, an eye for detail and a dedicated work ethic, Cathy has consistently been rewarded for a job well done by working almost exclusively on referrals from past clients.
Cathy holds the GRI designation, Graduate of the Realtor Institute; the highest level of education a realtor can earn and awarded to fewer than 4% of agents nationwide.
As a homeowner in the Andersonville neighborhood, Cathy and her husband own and manage two multi-unit buildings, giving her the personal skills and experience to identify and evaluate investment properties. A summer cottage and second home in Harbor County, Michigan also makes Cathy a source for the home market across the lake.
Two children keep Cathy attuned to the growing needs of homeowners as they graduate from college, change jobs, start families, or downsize. She is knowledgeable about the Chicago school system, having sent both kids to local public schools.
Cathy Ivcich received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Arizona State University. She is currently studying Spanish and hopes to be fluent by her next vacation to Latin America. Cathy also studies Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging, and exhibits annually at the Ginza Fest in Old Town every summer. A passionate cook, painter and gardener, Cathy thrives on all the elements that make a home, happy.
