"Steve was a pleasure to work with. As a first time buyer I really didn't know what to expect. After an initial phone call where I laid out my price range and expectations (number of bedrooms and bathrooms ect) I realized I didn't really know what I was looking for. Steve took me to look at 6 or 7 different places some in high rise buildings some townhouses and some condos but I didn't love any of them. Steve asked probing questions about what I liked and didn't like about each of them to help me narrow my search. The second time we went looking the places were much closer to my expectations but again I didn't fall in love with any of them. Again Steve took the time to find out what I liked and didn't like about each of them. The third and final time we went looking Steve showed me 6 places and I loved them all. After helping me find the perfect townhouse he helped through the offer process the negotiations and the closing. He is really a full service realtor. I plan to recommend him to all my friends and family members looking to buy or sell a home."
"My wife and I were spoiled with our experience with Steve. This was our first time buying a home and for us, we didnt know what we didnt know. Steve listened to what we both wanted in a first home and gave us additional things to consider and further insight on what to look for based on what mattered to us. We never felt like he was trying to get a sale done, but rather, he took the time to listen, educate, and walk us through every pertinent detail of a potential home. At the same time, Steve empowered us to analyze the details of a potential home and make the decision ourselves. ""Steve assisted me in selling a Bucktown single family home. I was very impressed with how active Steve was in marketing our home. He got in under contract within 90 days in a difficult sales market. Steve canvassed our neighborhood and had open houses for neighbors and brokers and prospective buyers. Steve really understood the market. The house sold within 1% of what Steve said it would sell for and was patient with me when I wanted to start marketing the house 8% above that number. Steve is a smart guy. He really did a great job for us!As I travel a lot, I didnt spend much time at the home. Steve took charge and even assisted me in preparing the home for sale. He brought in movers to help us declutter and brought in licensed contractors to ensure all of the systems in the house were working properly. Following the buyers home inspection, they were adamant about us cutting the price by 3% to pay for minor tuckpointing and roof repairs. Steve again brought in licensed contractors he uses in his investment property business and got us quotes which we used to get the work completed instead of giving in on a price decrease. Our repairs cost us $5,000 while the buyer was asking for $20,000 to cover these repairs. Steve kept the buyer interested and saved us a lot of money at the same time.""

"We met Steve through a referral from our mortgage broker. Right off the bat he stressed his primary goal was to educate. After our discussions about targeted areas, our first face-to-face meeting included a presentation of various statistics of the housing market, schools and home prices in our target areas.
