Suzanne Luby has been selling real estate in the Barrington Area and Chicago's Northwest Suburbs for nearly 25 years. From first time home buyers to the most skilled real estate investors, Suzanne works with all types of clients and has remained a top producing agent through the real estate market's many changes. Suzanne's knowledge, negotiating skills and sales record have earned her consistent corporate recognition, numerous awards and a reputation as one of the most seasoned Real Estate professionals in the Chicago Northwest Suburbs.

In addition to consulting both home buyers and sellers, Suzanne is often called upon to share her knowledge with other area REALTORS. Every year, she invests a significant amount of time and money to stay up to date with the latest trends in real estate. She has such advanced professional designations as GRI (Gradute REALTOR Institute), CRS (Council of Residential Specialists), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and SRES (Seniors Real EState Specialists).  She is also part of an idea sharing network of top selling REALTORS from across the country.

Prior to becoming a licensed Real Estate professional, Suzanne and her husband Tom raised four children. Eight years ago she recruited her oldest daughter, Liz Luby, to join her real estate team. Most recently, her son Jim became a member of The Luby Group after 12 successful years in the city of Chicago market. Suzanne's daughter, Erin Luby, is a high school administrator and track & cross country coach at St. Ignatius College Prep High School in Chicago, and her youngest daughter, Christine Luby, recently launched an online perfume boutique called Pinrose.

Suzanne also has a degree in education and spent years teaching High School Literature, Drama, Public Speaking classes before the arrival of her first child, Liz Luby. Her background as an educator prepared her well for the real estate industry. There is no one more skilled at advising clients and teaching her team about the real estate business. From interpreting national trends locally to guiding clients through daily transactions, Suzanne is a reliable and expert real estate consultant who holds herself and her team to the highest professional and ethical standards.

When Suzanne is not selling real estate, she loves to travel and she is a voracious reader. She especially enjoys reading books about the real estate industry, spending time with her family and taking care of her eight grandchildren!

As a licensed real estate Broker, Jim Luby primarily serves Chicago's North and Northwest Suburbs.  He also has an extensive knowledge of the City of Chicago, having lived and worked in that market for 11 years.  Since Chicago is the #1 feeder market into the suburbs, Jim's experience in the city has provided him access to a large pool of buyers looking to make a suburban transition. 

At an early age, Jim Luby discovered his entrepreneurial appetite and developed the ability to interact with customers to uncover and serve their needs.  First, it was his neighborhood lawn mowing business in the sixth grade.  Then, Jim moved on to sell knives for a summer, before deciding to manage and run a house painting business while in high school.  After college, Jim spent a few short years working in the corporate world for a small technology start up, before discovering his passion in Real Estate.  Jim obtained his real estate license in the fall of 2000 and primarily worked in the Chicago market before moving to the Northwest Suburbs in 2011 and joining the family team.

Jim believes in the importance of providing each client with superior service, and he continually strives to stay on top of the industry by furthering his real estate knowledge.  Jim has primarily built his business based on referrals from satisfied past and current clients and by becoming a trusted advisor.  Over the course of his career, Jim Luby has worked closely with many types of real estate clients:  residential homeowners, the luxury home market, high rise condominium developers, builders, distressed property owners, apartment building owners, property managers, & commercial investors.  And though the real estate landscape is ever changing, Jim's primary objectives remain the same:  to help his clients effectively buy and sell real estate; to provide them local expertise; to guide them through their purchase or sale with knowledge and integrity.

Outside of work, Jim Luby enjoys spending time with his wife Kelly and their five children – Liam, Charlie, Jack, Danny, and Casey.  They love the outdoors, whether it be walking the neighborhood, biking, running, water sports...you name it.  If there still time at the end of a day, Jim's other passions include gardening, playing ice hockey, and the playing the guitar.

After spending nearly a decade working as a Broadcast Journalist in the TV News business, Liz Luby earned her real estate license in 2007 and joined forces with Suzanne Luby and The Luby Group. Since they formed their partnership, Liz has led the effort to establish and grow The Luby Group's online presence through the team website and 365barrington.com. Liz has been a tremendous asset to The

Luby Group because of her communications background.

As a former news Anchor and Reporter for KFXB-TV in Dubuque, IA and WHBF-TV in The Quad Cities, IL, Liz mastered the art of news writing and story-telling. She now uses those skills to promote The Luby Group's brand and effectively market its listings both in print and online. During countless interviews with various news sources, Liz learned to get to the root of an issue by asking relevant questions and being a good listener. Today, these skills help her better assess the needs and goals of her real estate clients.

As a former morning news producer and writer for Fox News Chicago, Liz developed her skills as a team leader. Under intense deadline pressure, she consistently produced and earned recognition for high quality newscasts. Today, she applies these skills in the real estate realm by guiding seller and buyer clients through transactions with a knack for problem solving and expert attention to detail. Like Suzanne, Liz makes continued learning a high priority. She is one class away from earning her CRS (Council of Residential Specialists) professional designation and is part of a network of top selling REALTORS from across the country.

When Liz is not selling real estate, she loves spending time with her family and playing guitar with her husband, Bill. She enjoys reading, running and photography. Liz also runs her own website, 365Barrington.com, which feature all things in and around Barrington. This website has provided an additional outlet to give The Luby Group's clients increased online exposure and better access to information about local real estate.
