Co-founders Michael and Lene Thomas launched their business in 2001 with a vision to support their clientele with superior service. Michael Thomas - Licensed Broker - Team Leader
Michael Thomas works with clients who want to buy or sell their home, and overlooks all sales transactions for the team. Michael is always available to step in and guide where needed. When working with a seller Michael is in charge of obtaining the listing, having professional photographs taken, floor plans created, and marketing the listing so it will be sold at the highest price in the least amount of time possible. Michael works closely with a Stager to make sure the home shows at its absolute best and with the Marketing Director and Transaction Manager to successfully market the key features of each listing until it is under contract. When working with a buyer, Michael and his Showing Specialist meet with the client to assess needs and wants. Michael and the client will identify properties of interest and then create a tour, schedule the properties and tour the properties with the client. Once the perfect property has been identified, Michael will negotiate the best deal for the client.
Lene Thomas - Licensed Broker - Director of Marketing and Operations
Lene Thomas manages the Operations team and all the behind-the-scenes activities involved in marketing, reporting, client communication and moving the transaction forward. As a licensed broker and the Director of Marketing and Operations, she plays an integral part in the growth of our team. If you are a buyer, you may have been referred to us through a trusted source, heard about us through word-of-mouth or our email campaigns, print advertising, web advertising, social media, or direct mailings. If you are a seller, you have the peace-of-mind knowing that your property is being advertised through all the outlets available. With a business degree and experience as a project manager in logistics and marketing for a major international company, Lene brings a level of organization and precision to the real estate process that is reassuring to The Thomas Team's clientele. Lene is also an expert at home staging. She will walk the home with the agent and make necessary suggestions for de-cluttering, painting, and re-arranging furniture. She will work with the seller to get the home in the very best showing condition.
We view our client relationships as a personal investment. Prior to introducing a home to the brokerage community, we work with a seller to optimize the presentation of their home, expertly assess the market value, identify the target market, and develop a strategic marketing plan.

Lauren Lockwood Consiglio was born and raised in Evanston. To say she knows the North Shore well is an understatement. It’s this in-depth knowledge coupled with her single-minded determination to find people “homes they truly, truly love” that makes Lauren an incredible advocate on behalf of her clients. Her love for the region runs deep – from growing up learning to sail on Lake Michigan to being an active volunteer in her children’s local schools. Outgoing and very detail-minded, Lauren spent 10 years in special event planning and marketing as the Alumnae/i Relations Director for Chicago-Kent College of Law and as Director of Membership for the Illinois Restaurant Association. The daughter of a teacher, Lauren then went on to earn her special education teaching certificate in 2003 from San Diego State University and taught children with special needs for three years before returning home to Chicago. Back “home” for good now, Lauren resides in Northwest Evanston with her husband and three kids. The Ohio Wesleyan University graduate enjoys cooking, dining out, golfing and time with her family and friends. Lauren was thrilled to join fellow Evanston Township High School grad, Michael Thomas and Lene Thomas, on the Thomas Team in 2015. Clifford Sears - Buyers and Sellers Consultant
Clifford Sears was born and raised on the north side of Chicago. He is currently a long time resident of Evanston. After graduation from architectural school at the University of Arizona, Cliff worked in the Peace Corps for the Ministry of Public Works in Swaziland, Africa designing and building low cost housing, farmer training centers, hospitals, and various other government buildings.
After working for various architectural firms in Arizona and Wisconsin, Clifford eventually evolved from designing residential projects into marketing and selling homes. He has been a Realtor in Evanston for the last seventeen years selling in the city and suburbs resulting in sales of over 300 homes - many of them while representing major local developers. Clifford joined The Thomas Team in February of 2010, he assists with their listings and buyers as well as servicing his own clients.

Kirsten Everspaugh is a real estate broker with the Thomas Team, Evanston's #1 brokerage team since 2007. A proud Wolverine and Badger-in-law, Kirsten and her family put down roots in Evanston where she became increasingly entranced by the classic homes and the strong sense of community surrounding neighborhoods, schools and sports leagues alike. After her own wonderful home-buying experience with the Thomas Team, she decided to pursue her career in real estate right here.

She lives in her own 100-year-old piece of town with her husband, two kids, two cats, one dog and a growing collection of plants she's trying to keep alive. She is crazy about travel and cooking, loves to ski, is learning to golf and repair old windows, and hopes to someday make it to all the national parks.
