About Me

With nearly two decades of experience helping buyers and sellers navigate the complexities of the Chicagoland market, Katie Deeley knows the importance of listening rather than simply hearing when it comes to what matters most to them. Client testimonials laud her patience and honesty, the hallmarks of a broker who truly puts her clients first.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Katie is an Arizona State University alumna whose career began at Farm Bureau, where she sold health, life, and property casualty insurance. Her position required spending quality time with policyholders on their large working farms and ranches, which allowed her to build long-lasting relationships with clients who became like family. She relocated to Chicago in 1998, purchasing her first condominium two years later in the West Loop. The thrill of that experience and her talent for building client relationships inspired her to earn her real estate license soon thereafter.

Katie particularly specializes in condominiums and single-family homes on Chicago's North side. Her personal experience as a resident of many of its neighborhoods over the past 20 years well enables her to showcase what they offer. Furthermore, her studies at Chicago's own Harrington College of Design coupled with her extensive collaboration with property developers inform her ability to assess the quality and caliber of construction. Clients appreciate this kind of in-depth knowledge as well as Katie's penchant to respond to questions and concerns regardless of the time of day or night.

Katie lives in East Lakeview and enjoys the city's rich cultural and social offerings with her husband and daughter. She volunteers during many of her hours outside of the office, including as a member of the board of advisors of the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago and the advisory board of the Catholic Charities Housing Services. In addition, she serves on the board of directors of the House of the Good Shepherd, which offers a safe haven for women and children affected by domestic violence. In Katie's opinion, no two days as a Realtor are ever alike, and that makes her career one she would never trade. Two constants, however, remain: she delights in pointing out the city's amazing architecture and making dreams come true for those who want a piece of it to call their own.

Clients are saying:

"Katie is a very professional realtor. She has a unique ability to work between different types of clients in a way that makes both feel equally understood and protected. She does her homework which makes both buying and selling easier than it would otherwise be with a less prepared/connected relator. She is prepared and thinks ahead in terms of next steps, options and brings a fact-based point of view that builds confidence as the transaction evolves. She is also very strong in terms of communication and follow up."
