Mike McCausland graduated from Tulane University with a degree in Political Science. Commissioned a Lieutenant in the United States Army, he served a tour of duty before entering his business career. Shortly after returning to the States, Mike joined the management training program at Lykes Brothers Steamship Company in New Orleans and was trasferred to the Chicago offices in their Sales and Marketing Department where he sold ocean freight transportation for 12 years.

Since 1984, Mike has been a prominent real estate agent thoughout Southwestern Michigan. His accomplishments include membership in the Lifetime Million Dollar Club and a Gold Life Member for Multi-Million Dollar Production.

Within the community he has served as both Treasurer and Trustee of Benton Charter Township, Vice-President and President of the Benton Harbor/St. Joseph YMCA Board of Directors, and Vice Chairman of the Benton Charter Township Planning Commission. At present he is Chairman of the Benton Charter Township Zoning Board of Appeals, and a member of both the YMCA of SW Michigan Branch Advisory Committee and Centered on Wellness Board.
