It wouldn’t be fall without that annual trip to your local pumpkin patch or apple orchard.   Weekends in fall are the perfect time to plan a family trip to pick out some pumpkins and perhaps enjoy some delicious apple cider and donuts. With that in mind, we’ve rounded up some of the best destinations to get you in the spirit of fall. Check out the list below and make sure to get to one before October ends!

Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center | South Barrington, Illinois

If you’re looking for more than just some pumpkins and apples to pick out, Goebbert’s Fall Festival is a can’t miss destination. The Fall Festival is running through now until the end of October. The Elegant Farmer | Mukwonago, Wisconsin

For our Wisconsin friends looking to get in on the fall action, The Elegant Farmer is a great place to check out! Elegant Farmer’s Autumn Harvest Fest is taking place every Saturday and Sunday through October 23rd. Elegant Farmer has hayrides, apples, pumpkins, and fun attractions for the family. Busy Barns Adventure Farm | Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin

Another great option in Wisconsin, Busy Barns Adventure Farm has everything you and your family could want in an adventure farm. Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin, and don’t miss the delicious food offerings. There’s also lots of attractions suitable for the whole family. For the city dwellers, getting out to the pumpkin patches and orchards in the surrounding suburbs can be a bit of a challenge. Luckily the Chicago Park District has you covered! The County Line Orchard is the perfect place for our Harbor Country friends to get in on the fall fun. Take your pick of County Line’s incredible selection of fresh apples. Didier Farms | Lincolnshire, Illinois

Didier Farms Pumpkinfest is open now until the end of October, so be sure to check it out! Odyssey Fun Farm | Tinley Park, Illinois

Rounding out our list is the Odyssey Fun Farm in Tinley Park! The pumpkin patch and corn maze at Odyssey are not to be missed this year.
