The Legacy at Millennium Park, a 72-story luxury condominium development in Chicago, was the recent winner of a Vision Award from the Urban Land Institute, Chicago District Council (ULI Chicago).
The Vision Awards, held for the first time this year, celebrate visionary projects, programs and developers in the greater Chicago area. Award criteria include achieving a high standard of excellence in all areas of the development process, and creatively solving complex land use and development challenges. A total of eleven winners were named in three categories: project, program and young visionary, with special designations in the project category.
The Legacy at Millennium Park was designed by Solomon Cordwell Buenz and developed by Mesa Development, LLC and Walsh Investors, LLC, all based in Chicago. It features 356 luxury condominiums in Chicago overlooking Millennium Park, Lake Michigan and downtown. Remaining homes range in price from $393,000 for an 875-square-foot one-bedroom floor plan to $6,000,000 for a 9,301-square-foot full-floor penthouse.
“ULI Chicago challenges and inspires planners, architects and developers to constantly push the envelope in order to make Chicago a better place to live, work, visit and play. It’s an honor to be recognized by such an organization,” said Richard A. Hanson, principal and founder of Mesa Development, LLC.
