After almost a decade in real estate sales, there's not much I haven't experienced. With every year that passes, I appreciate the strong relationships and connections I've been fortunate to forge with my clients.

A bit about me: I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and received my MBA in Finance and Marketing from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I lived all over the North Side of Chicago for 25 years before moving to the northern suburb of Deerfield six years ago. My home history lends itself to my unofficial tagline: "North Shore to South Loop." It's the area I concentrate on, and the one I know best.

Service to others is a thread that has run throughout my professional and personal life — from my first career in graphic design, through my service in the US Army Reserve, to my many years in restaurants and sales. I learned to listen before asking good questions and then to listen again.

Listening and asking good questions is also the key to a great home-buying experience. Making sure you feel heard through every part of the process — and that you're satisfied with what's happening — that's the experience I strive for as a broker.

Buying a home is something you don't do every day. It's a rewarding experience, but it can be challenging — no matter if you're a first-time or repeat home buyer. There's a lot of new language, and the process can be longer than expected. My philosophy is simple: I explain things as plainly as I can, and I treat my experience with you as a singular one. It's like river rafting — you hire a guide, and you trust that guide to take you down the river. It's never the same river twice, and your guide has to be able to "read" that river. Purchasing or selling a home is much the same.

My work and life experiences have prepared me well for helping clients with real estate needs. I've moved from the city to the North Shore and back again, and I can help navigate both scenarios. I've lived through bull and bear markets and know what it takes to buy and sell in each. I'm able to apply the things I've learned to your unique situation, and I feel that @properties Christie's International Real Estate also gives me a great advantage both in terms of technologies and the network of brokers.

When I'm not working to help people find the home that's best for them, I'm most likely teaching my kids how to cook, embarking on my next camping trip, traveling as much as time will permit, and making art.
