Elizabeth Cook, also known as "Lee," has been a realtor since December 1984. She joined Urban Search Corporation of Chicago at that time. In 2019 Urban Search became the Urban Search Team under the @properties umbrella. She lists and sells both residential and commercial property. She specializes in the Hyde Park and Kenwood areas of Chicago, but she has also worked in the neighboring communities of Woodlawn, North Kenwood, the South Loop, Lincoln Park and Oak Park. She is pleased to be a part of the Urban Search Team. She is happy to be of service to the many fascinating people, either relocating within Hyde Park/Kenwood or moving to or from Chicago, including the University. She enjoys the varied aspects of the challenging work, but she especially enjoys the people.

New England values, ideals, and settings permeated Lee's childhood and young adulthood. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in the Boston suburb of West Newton. Her family spent summers in a large, rambling Victorian house on Narragansett Bay in Rhode Island. Her grandparents were English, Irish and German. Her family was a close extended family, many of whom lived in separate houses on the same street. As a young child Lee attended public school, but graduated from the Dana Hall School in 1964. In 1968 she received an A.B. degree from Wheaton College (Norton, Massachusetts) in French Literature.

As a young adult Lee taught first grade in the Baltimore County Schools, first and second grade at a private school in Providence, Rhode Island, and later nursery school at the Laboratory Schools of the University of Chicago. Her husband is an emeritus professor at the University.

For recreation and enjoyment Lee reads, collects antiques, gardens, listens to classical music, plays the piano, and is active in one of the local churches.
