Grand Haven

Your first visit to Grand Haven certainly won’t be your last.

Named Coastal Living’s “Happiest Seaside Town” in 2019, Grand Haven is a gorgeous retreat with stunning vistas, an abundance of outdoor activities, and plenty of shops, galleries, and markets to explore.

Located along scenic Lake Michigan, the beach community is popular amongst those seeking recreational adventures all year round. Come summertime, you’ll find locals fishing, boating, sailing, wake boarding, and more. There are over 60 public parks and 100 miles of trails, providing ample off-the-water enjoyment. The central attraction is Grand Haven State Park, which features a beautifully sandy shore, picnic shelters, playground equipment, and a large pier with a boardwalk and lighthouse.

Spring, summer, and fall bring several local happenings to Grand Haven, including a farmers market, Artwalk, and the ever-popular Salmon Festival. Winter holds its own with Winterfest, a longstanding community tradition. The fun-filled weekend is hosted at Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl and features cardboard sled races, a euchre tournament, and beer and wine tastings. During the regular season, Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl draws residents and visitors with downhill skiing and snowboarding offerings.
