Washington Island is a popular tourist spot 7 miles from the Door Peninsula in Door County, Wisconsin. The Island was named after George Washington. It has a population of about 660 people and houses one of the oldest Icelandic communities in the U.S. There is a Ferry in which people can travel to and from the island.
