The community of Bensenville never met a stranger. The village is as friendly and welcoming to newcomers as it is long-time residents.
Incorporated in 1884, Bensenville is home to nearly 18,600 residents.
Located near O’Hare International Airport along the Milwaukee Road Railway, a number of businesses make their home here including food, trucking and other industries.
Among the area’s attractions is the Edge Ice Arena, once home to a junior ice hockey team; and the Churchville School which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Students attend Bensenville School District 100. Fenton High School serves Bensenville and Wood Dale. Bensenville School District 2 includes Blackhawk Middle School, Tioga School and W.A. Johnson School.
Bensenville has a station on Metra’s Milwaukee District/West Line providing daily service between Elgin and Chicago’s Union Station; and access to Amtrak trains to points beyond.
