About Humboldt Park
Humboldt Park manages to be both casual and cosmopolitan at the same time.
The vibrant community includes friendly bars, bistros, family-owned cafes and eclectic restaurants. Residents enjoy lively parades and festivals, a vivid arts and music scene and colorful street murals.
Located on Chicago’s West Side, the neighborhood is named after its stunning park, one of the shining stars of the Chicago park system. A green area with trails between California and Homan Avenues was one of the city’s first designated recreational areas.
Mature trees, vintage row houses and newly renovated condominiums line the streets around the park. Houses and condominiums dominate the west side. Several home styles can be found here including attached and single-family homes, from vintage and mid-century modern to contemporary.
Residents on the neighborhood’s east side are a walk away to two Blue Line stops for a quick ride to the Loop; bus routes run through the neighborhood along North and Division for easy access to nearby neighborhoods, shopping and nightlife.
High school students attend Orr Academy High School, Wells Community Academy High School, Clemente Achievement Academy High School or Kelvyn Park High School.
