About Willow Springs
Although close to Chicago, the Village of Willow Springs is a destination for those looking to escape urban living.
Willow Springs is located in Cook County along the banks of the Des Plaines River and Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. The Village is characterized by its local businesses, forest preserve trails, community parks, religious organizations, and schools.
Village residents can often be found enjoying a picnic, playing tennis or horseshoes in one of the village’s parks, or taking their dogs to run and play at the Central Bark Dog Park. During the warmer months, kids love splashing through rainbows at the Splash Pad at Lion’s Park, which also has a covered pavilion with picnic tables, small cooking grills, and a walking path.
For commuters, the ride from the village’s station on Metra’s Heritage Corridor line is short to Union Station in downtown Chicago.
High School students attend District 217’s Argo Community High School in Summit, Lyons Township High School District 204 in La Grange/Western Springs, and Consolidated High School District 230 in Palos Hills.
