Deeded Parking in Woodridge

About Woodridge

Build it and they will come. That’s pretty much how the village of Woodridge started.

The southwest suburb founded by a housing developer was incorporated in 1959 with fewer than 500 residents. In addition to new homes, businesses and churches were built here mostly after the 1950s.

The community attracted corporate headquarters starting in the 1970s; a shopping center and regional business center followed.

Residents enjoy several parks and wide open spaces. The community has a water park, Frisbee golf course, skate park, bike paths, recreation center, picnic facilities and sports fields. The village also owns an 18-hole golf course.

Two interstates run through Woodridge including the Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-35) and the Stevenson Expressway (I-55). Commuter rail service is accessible in nearby Lisle and Downers Grove.

The majority of Woodridge secondary school students are served by Community High School District 99 schools including Downers Grove North or South High Schools. Some students also are served by Lemont District 210; or Naperville schools in District 203.
