Detroit raised me. Now I give back, one home at a time.
I didn't move to Detroit — I was made here. I grew up in the Bagley district, and every step of my education took place within Detroit Public Schools: 4th grade at Bagley Elementary, 5th through 8th grade at Bates Academy, and I graduated from Cass Tech High School.
I'm proud of that path. I'm a product of this city, and I believe Detroit — its schools, its neighborhoods, its people — shaped who I am just as much as any single choice I've made. That's not a talking point for me. It's the reason I do this work the way I do it.
Why I Give Back
Real estate is personal to me because Detroit is personal to me. Every home I help someone buy or sell is a chance to reinvest in the community that raised me — so I built that reinvestment directly into how I run my business.
I'm proud to be the co-founder of DetroitIsMe.org, an organization dedicated to empowering Detroit's kids and families. Through my Live Here, Give Here commitment, I donate 15% of my commission from every single transaction — every home bought, every home sold — directly to DetroitIsMe.org.
Where the Money Goes
That 15% isn't a vague pledge. It goes toward a specific, tangible need: purchasing Sprayground backpacks for Detroit students through our annual Back to School Empowerment Event.
Every fall, we distribute these backpacks to kids across the city, making sure they walk into the school year with the tools — and the confidence — to succeed. It's a small thing that means a lot: a new backpack can be the difference between a kid feeling ready for the year and a kid feeling like they're starting behind.
This isn't charity from a distance. It's Detroit kids, in Detroit schools, supported by Detroit people — including buyers and sellers just like you.
What This Means When You Work With Me
When you list your home with me, or when I help you find your next one, you're not just completing a transaction. You're extending a hand to the next generation of Detroiters — the same way this city once extended one to me.
If you want to support this city, work with me.
Every closing is another backpack. Every referral is another kid walking into school feeling ready. Every home is a chance to give back to the place that gave us so much.
Ready to make a move that means something? Reach out today, and let's put your next real estate transaction to work for Detroit's future.
