Denise Salaberrios
646.464.2751Born into a family of entrepreneurs, Denise Salaberrios developed an early appreciation for independent business ownership, client relationships, and service-driven excellence. On the maternal side, the family line owned and operated barbershops and beauty salons, while on the paternal side, the family engaged in art importation from Africa and Latin America, as well as hospitality ventures that transformed private residences into sought-after rental and catering spaces. This legacy of entrepreneurship shaped a lifelong instinct for niche markets and personalized client engagement.
After studying for a degree in communications, Denise initially pursued and landed corporate roles across investment banking, media, and food and pharmaceutical industries. Yet, while thriving in these structured environments, the entrepreneurial ethic remained central—consistently gravitating toward roles that emphasized relationship-building, strategy, and bespoke service.
A chapter of restaurant ownership followed, alongside a world-class chef specializing in gourmet healthy cuisine. Together, they owned and operated restaurants in Bethesda, Maryland; Brooklyn, New York; and Negril, Jamaica, and expanded the brand through curated "Healthy Lifestyle" retreats held throughout the Caribbean.
The next professional evolution led to the fine jewelry industry, where Denise spent fifteen successful years co-building a respected jewelry studio. While the partner served as chief designer and public figure, Denise led sales, CRM, marketing, social media, merchandising, and staging. This hands-on leadership ultimately allowed time to earn GIA New York certification and operate a gemstone business within the studio.
Following the sudden passing of her partner, Denise relocated to Detroit, Michigan, to regroup and to be closer to family. With a son now a graduate of Lawrence Technological University and rooted in Michigan, the move became both personal and purposeful. Long drawn to real estate—through property ownership in the Caribbean and Brooklyn—this transition created the opportunity to pursue a long-held goal of entering the industry.
Today, Denise brings decades of entrepreneurial experience, CRM expertise, and global networking to real estate. Michigan, and the Detroit Metro area in particular, represents a dynamic landscape of revitalization, reinvestment, and reimagination. As an independent contractor with @properties, Denise is committed to contributing thoughtfully to the region's continued growth and rebranding—helping clients navigate opportunity with confidence, vision, and care.
