Melaina brings over twenty years of diverse experience in real estate, law and development to her brokerage practice.  She began her career as a lawyer focused on real estate, construction, and mechanics' liens both as an attorney and a judicial clerk.  Her real estate career expanded when she joined a real estate development company, where she served as General Counsel and Lead Construction Manager, creating the firm's construction management protocols and co-leading sales and marketing efforts that acheived more than $100 million in residential real estate sales.  

In recent years, Melaina has applied her expertise to restoration and development projects in Buchanan, Michigan, where she is the co-founder/owner of Black Fawn Farm, a property that reflects her appreciation of architecture, design, and the natural landscape.
