Kate O'Connell is a seasoned real estate executive whose career uniquely blends media, marketing, strategic growth, and brokerage leadership. As President of Michigan Offices for @properties Christie's International Real Estate, Kate helps lead one of Michigan's fastest-growing real estate brokerages, driving market expansion, strengthening company culture, and creating the strategies, resources, and experiences that help agents grow their businesses.

Kate began her real estate career in 2013 following a relocation to Charlotte, North Carolina, where she worked as a relocation coordinator and marketing associate with a premier luxury real estate firm. After returning to her native southeastern Michigan, she continued to expand her expertise in luxury real estate, brand development, and digital strategy as a marketing and social content manager for a leading Birmingham brokerage.

Prior to real estate, Kate built her professional foundation in broadcast journalism, working as a full-time television anchor, reporter, and producer for an NBC-affiliated station in Traverse City, Michigan. Her experience in journalism shaped the communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills that remain central to her leadership approach today.

In her current role, Kate brings together her experience across media, marketing, operations, and brokerage leadership to help shape the continued growth of @properties Christie's International Real Estate throughout Michigan. She is passionate about building strong teams, developing innovative agent resources, cultivating an exceptional company culture, and creating an environment where agents and leaders are empowered to reach the next level of their businesses.

Kate earned her bachelor's degree in Advertising from Michigan State University and is an alumna of the Specs Howard School of Media Arts.
