Highland Park is home to Ravinia Festival.

RAVINIA FESTIVAL, the world-class summer venue of performing arts, lies on more than 36 acres of beautifully wooded and landscaped land at the southern end of the city. The festival has attracted lovers of music and dance since 1899. Its 87-night season runs from early May until late September. LATE NITE HP encourages downtown Highland Park restaurants and other businesses to stay open until 11:00 on Friday and Saturday nights, creating an appealing environment for dining, shopping and socializing later in the evening. Enjoy a stroll through the CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN in neighboring Glencoe. This is a place of ever-changing beauty with 24 spectacular gardens on 385 acres uniquely situated on nine islands surrounded by lakes.
