5 Game Changing Kitchen Remodel Ideas:

Looking to remodel your home room-by-room?If so, make sure the heart of it looks as good as it possibly can. I have gathered 5 kitchen design ideas to inspire your next renovation. These ideas have been collected by me through my experiences doing home showings, home sales, and through bantering back and fourth with my fellow brokers in the office. Let's get started:

1. Create Plenty of Storage

No one likes to see a counter top full of ~stuff~. From keeping plates inside your drawers, hanging pots and pans up, to hidden coffee bars behind doors. There are many ways to maximize space. Note: Pull-outs can help with accessibility and still allow everything to be hidden. It is pleasing to the eye when your county is empty. Hint: think of the appliance trend right now. *Panel ready appliances are a trendy way to intigrate your appliances into the flow of our cabinarty so even those kitchen necessities are hidden from the eye of a guests.

2. Elevate Your Hardware

Quick and easy way to improve the look of your cabinet doors and drawers. Pulls are made in all shapes colors and finishes now so this is something you are encouraged to have fun with. I see gold finishings a lot lately!

3. Make Room for Seating

Depending on size and use of the kitchen, I always suggest having at least a couple of stools at the island if there is not room for a traditional kitchen table. Depending on the theme of your home, I have seen couches placed in the kitchen in colonial style homes with shorter dine in tables set infront for comfotable eating/enertaining.  As well as counters added to bare walls to grant that wall a new purpose. NOTE: in the back of your local menards there is a plethera of laminate counter tops for affordable prices. Purchase some L Brakets and go crazy.

4. Add a Personailty Back Splash

Now I know what you are thinking, Katia. I do not want to spend a fortune on a quick kitchen renovation. Don't worry. There are many retailers that are selling creative alternatives to your average grout and tile backsplash. I have even gone as far to stick "ceiling tiles" on the back splash region of a rental I flipped. Have fun with it!

5. Lighting

Any space can be enhaced with lightening. The kitchen is no exception. Hidden rope lighing on the tops of your cabinarty will create an ambience that all your guest crave. Think of your local bar. Many bartops have hidden LED lights under the bar area as well. This idea could easily be integreted into your kitchen to create a cool atmosphere for your guests to relax while you cook.
