Here are my 3 TIPS on how to Introduce Natural Smells into your Home so your Home can smell the best it can:
Fragrance is an important part of our daily lives. It is one of our five senses and plays a large role in how we perceive space, by generating ambiance and offering warmth.
1. Everyone needs an excuse to take a trip to the Vintage Thrift Store. Here is yours! In a tea kettle or stove safe pot, boil some water. To the water add orange slices, lemon peels, cinnamon sticks, vanila, mint leaves and/or a cap full of Pine Sol. This boiling mixture of fragrent goodness will fill your home with aromatic smells, as well as had moisture into the air for ease of breathing.
2. Fire Starters: If your home has a fireplace this tip is for you! (Fragrant Fire Burners are even a fun project for kids to prepare) Simply purchase Muslin bags off Amazon and fill the small bags with Dired oranges, Lavender, Sage, and Eucalyptus. When your fireplace is running carefully introduce the bag into the fire, for allow the beautiful scents to burn and fill your home with happyness.
3. Introducing Real Dried Plants into your home as decoration can greatly improve the passive aromas that fill the air. You can incorporate dryed cuttings/flowers in a decortive vase, as a wreath, garland or even greenery used to fill empty space ontop of your kitchen cabinets. What dried plants produce ample fragence? Well: Eucalyptus, Rosemerry, Bay Laurel, Lavender, Citrus Tree cuttings. If your looking for a different look. Any dryed plant cuttings will do. If you take this route, I suggest making a diluted water mixture with your favorite essencial fragrent oil and spray this mixture onto the dry cuttings.
Hack: Ferns love humid environments therefore if your bathroom has a window, ferns are known to absorb unpleasant odors.
