This year's pantone color is a subtle pop of pastel. It isn't purple and it isn't blue, it's periwinkle...Veri Peri to be exact!
The key to using a color like periwinkle in your home is by using it in one of two ways. When using the color as a statement on a large piece of furniture or a rug for example, using a more faded out version of the color will make it a little easier on the eyes.
If your going to use true periwinkle as a "pop of color" be sure that the rest of the space is filled with non competing neutrals.
