The wide mix of trees includes maple, beech, hemlock, pine, spruce, cedar, cherry, & birch. This secluded estate comprises 2 furnished cabins, and a 120 sq.ft. ''Lillstugan''; a bathhouse, outdoor kitchen, woodshed, chicken coop and tool shed make up the rest of the outbuildings and would make for a spectacular kids camp or family retreat. The cozy cabin was remodeled in 2006-2009 and is lived in year-round. The second lakeside cabin/bunkhouse was built in 2011 and lies appx. 300 ft away from main camp. This serene location allows for off-grid living at its finest. Access to fast Internet is by smartphone or laptop via hotspot. Solar installation with new lithium-ion battery packs provide power w/generator as back-up. An abundance of hardwood feeds the wood stove, the primary source of heat, but there is also a propane ventilated wall heater. The large bedroom and galley kitchen in the main cabin overlook the lake as does the open concept dining/living room. There is a small room off the bedroom for office space or tv room. Kitchen is fully equipped. The Bathhouse was built in 2014 and houses the washer, shower, toilet and sink with an on-demand water heater. There is an outdoor shower nestled in the trees. The bunkhouse is approx. 800 sq ft. with one bedroom downstairs and a loft w/bunk beds. It is beautifully built with cedar throughout, has a composting toilet inside plus an outhouse nearby. Like in the main cabin, electricity provided by solar panels. A woodstove in the main living area heats the entire cabin. The estate, one of the more fortunate spots in the world with the absence of any traffic noise, is located 25 miles NE of the Mackinac Bridge/St Ignace, one mile back from Simmons Road reached by a gravel road and a good two-track which ends at Round Lake. If you wish to live surrounded by nature then you may come and take a personal tour. You might hear a welcome from the loons who nest every year on the lake or even see a beaver swim by!
