A true Maryland native, Shera was raised in Montgomery County, spending many summers at the Eastern Shore. She rode horses and worked in Howard County before putting down roots in Frederick County, where she is now raising her family. She earned her bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech University and later married her husband Michael in Leesburg, Virginia. Shera carries a calling for public service that runs through generations—her grandmother, Senator Ida G. Ruben, served as a Maryland State Senator for 20 years after serving in the House of Delegates for 12 years. Her grandfather, Judge L. Leonard ruben, also served in the House of Delegates before becoming a Montgomery County Judge. Shera is very proud of the Silver Spring District Courthouse which is named in his honor.
She carries a deep appreciation for Maryland and Virginia.
Known for her attention to detail and hands-on approach, Shera manages every transaction with care, precision, and intention. She is a natural problem-solver who navigates challenges with creativity and confidence, always keeping her clients' goals front and center.

Alongside her husband Michael, she is raising her two children with the families two Great Pyrenees', "Atlas" and "Nova" and their Flemish Giant "Emily." She remains deeply involved in the equestrian community, owning and training her horses and serving as a dressage judge.
