Jamie Hogan has spent her life connected to the places that shape people — and helping others buy and sell the homes that shape their own stories is both business and calling. Licensed in both Illinois and Indiana, she brings more than three decades of experience to every conversation about home, land, and community. Since 1987, she has built a career that bridges market expertise with an uncommon understanding of how people truly live in the spaces they buy and sell.
Her professional path has spanned ownership of a boutique independent brokerage to her current role with @properties Christie's International Real Estate, one of the Midwest's most respected brokerage networks. She holds three of the industry's most distinguished credentials — GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist, awarded to fewer than 4% of REALTORS® nationwide), and ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative). These achievements reflect not only skill, but a career-long commitment to learning and service.
Jamie's background in financial services — including her time as Director of Trading Floor Marketing for the Midwest Stock Exchange (now the Chicago Stock Exchange) — gives her a rare fluency in numbers, risk, and negotiation. She blends that analytical side with a storyteller's instinct, designing real estate plans and marketing strategies that speak not just to data, but to desire. Her portfolio includes residential and small-commercial properties in the Oak Park–River Forest area of Illinois and throughout Northwest Indiana, where she also has hands-on experience in rehab and redevelopment.
Community is a constant through-line. Jamie was named REALTOR® of the Year in 2004 and has served as President of the Oak Park Area Association of REALTORS®. In Illinois, her leadership extended to the Oak Park Area Arts Council and the Oak Park Development Corporation. Along Lake Michigan's south shore, she has been a board member for Save the Dunes, is a member of the Chesterton Duneland Chamber of Commerce and the Porter Beach Association, and currently serves on the Redevelopment Commission for the Town of Porter — guiding responsible growth and preservation in the place she calls home.
Beyond real estate, Jamie is known as a writer, photographer, and chronicler of beach community life. Her creative nonfiction and photography celebrate the landscape, architecture, and people of the Indiana Dunes — where grit meets grace, and every horizon tells a story. She believes that every home, every parcel of land, carries its own narrative, and that her role is to help clients honor both their dreams and the spirit of place.
A native of Spring Green, Wisconsin, Jamie grew up along the Fox River in Batavia, Illinois — a childhood steeped in small-town values, nature's rhythms, and the lessons of 4-H. Those early years shaped her work ethic and worldview: Head to clearer thinking, heart to greater loyalty, hands to larger service, and health to better living. The 4-H pledge remains a touchstone in her professional and personal life, a daily reminder that purpose is found in service and that even the hardest work can be done with grace.
Today, Jamie divides her time between River Forest, Illinois, and Porter, Indiana, carrying forward a career and creative life defined by connection — to people, to place, and to the stories that make both unforgettable.
