Living in the Fountain Square neighborhood, Rex has called Indianapolis his home since 2001. With over 15 years experience in multiple disciplines of residential real estate, Rex is not only passionate about helping his clients buy and sell homes but also enjoys spending time with his family, community development, golfing and kayaking. Upon receiving his bachelor of science degree in business management from Purdue University, Rex started his career in revenue management within the sports and entertainment industries. The excitement of urban economics led him to purchase his first investment property in 2005 which has since blossomed into a core focus of Rex's realty work today. In 2011, Rex became the director of development at Shepherd Community where he spent 4 years leading all fundraising and corporate partner development work. During this time he gained a tremendous appreciation for the reality of social services work and an expanded understanding of sustainable community development within the urban context of Indianapolis. As his investment real estate work expanded, Rex made the decision to become a Realtor and dedicate himself fully to his real estate work. In 2015, Rex joined Plat Collective as one of the first 10 agents and, in 2018, became a co-owner with the brokerage's founder, Mark Nottingham. Rex’s affiliations past and present include board member at Edge Mentoring, board chairman at ServLife International, founding board member of the Fountain Square Music Festival, board member at Fuller Center of Central Indiana, housing committee member at SEND, and mentor at Shepherd Community.
