Jeff Wellman is an Associate Broker with @properties REMI Christie's International Real Estate in Petoskey, Michigan. In 2018, Jeff proudly brought Christie's to Northern Michigan, so luxury buyers and sellers could experience "the Christie's difference" in marketing and global reach.
With more than 35 years of real estate experience in Northern Michigan, Jeff has guided clients and friends through every stage of buying, selling, investing, and building. As an active investor and developer, he brings practical, hands-on knowledge across vacant land and subdivision development, condominium and home communities, lakefront projects, apartment buildings, and multifamily restorations. And if you want to talk numbers—down to the internal rate of return (IRR) on a commercial property—Jeff can do that too. He also literally wrote the book on real estate investing: his 2006 publication, Real Estate For Life, has helped agents and clients better understand the intricacies of real estate investing.
Jeff considers himself lucky to have been raised in this extraordinary area—and even luckier to have raised his family here. He loves sharing the Northern Michigan lifestyle with his wife, three children, friends, and clients. Outside of work, you'll find him backcountry skiing, sailing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, racing in local triathlons, or simply walking the pristine beaches that make this region so special.
Jeff is also deeply committed to giving back. Over the years, he has helped numerous local boards and organizations raise funds for community support projects, and he is especially passionate about supporting children with cancer through Camp Quality in Boyne City. In 1994, Jeff founded the Camp Quality Fundraising Weekend, which later evolved into Boyne Thunder—an event that has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Camp Quality.
