With over 25 years of sales and marketing experience, Cathy Ivcich brings great knowledge of the Chicago marketplace to her real estate career at @properties.
Starting out in advertising for top retail companies, such as Sears and Macy’s, Cathy conceptualized, wrote and produced marketing campaigns for print, radio and television. Real estate followed as a natural progression for someone whose family has always believed in land and buildings.
Cathy represents buyers and sellers in the city and near suburbs. She also has extensive experience working with homeowners relocating to or from Chicago.  With keen negotiating skills, an eye for detail and a dedicated work ethic, Cathy has consistently been rewarded for a job well done by working almost exclusively on referrals from past clients.
Cathy holds the GRI designation, Graduate of the Realtor Institute; the highest level of education a realtor can earn and awarded to fewer than 4% of agents nationwide.
As a homeowner in the Andersonville neighborhood, Cathy and her husband own and manage two multi-unit buildings, giving her the personal skills and experience to identify and evaluate investment properties. A summer cottage and second home in Harbor County, Michigan also makes Cathy a source for the home market across the lake.
Two children keep Cathy attuned to the growing needs of homeowners as they graduate from college, change jobs, start families, or downsize. She is knowledgeable about the Chicago school system, having sent both kids to local public schools.
Cathy Ivcich received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Arizona State University. She is currently studying Spanish and hopes to be fluent by her next vacation to Latin America. Cathy also studies Ikebana, the art of Japanese flower arranging, and exhibits annually at the Ginza Fest in Old Town every summer. A passionate cook, painter and gardener, Cathy thrives on all the elements that make a home, happy.

Clients are saying:

"Working with Cathy to buy our first home has been great. She is a savvy negotiator and a strong communicator. She also cares that you get a home that is a good fit for YOU. We love our house and think we would have ended up with a different (less perfect for us) home without her guidance."

"Your professional manner and well-organized management of the sale were very much appreciated. Its easy to see why you both enjoy and excel at your profession."

"This was my second property that I used Cathy to purchase. On both occasions I don't think I could have asked for any more from an agent. Cathy is always attentive, responsive, has actual ideas and opinions to share, and always had my best interest in mine. Never got pushy or too frustrated even when buying a foreclosure. Always goes above and beyond the call of duty. I'll continue to use Cathy for all of my real estate purchases."

"Cathy Ivcich had been my daughter's landlord for several years. She was amazing, so it only made sense to have her represent us in our real estate search. Again, she proved to be fantastic at what she does. From beginning to end she communicated with us frequently, guiding us through the process of purchasing our condo. She was always available when we had questions. More importantly, she always knew the answer or found it quickly. She had a great rapport with the sellers attorney, which proved very helpful, not only in negotiations but in regard to questions we had about the unit, after the showing. I highly recommend Cathy Ivcich to anyone buying or selling property. It was a five star experience."

"Simply put, Cathy and Sharon work for you tirelessly until you find the "right" home for you. In doing so they are quite the dynamic duo. Since I travel a lot for work, Cathy and Sharon gave up their weekends for months, many times canceling personal plans, to help me find the my Lincoln Park condo. They truly have your best interests in mind, know the Chicago neighborhoods, have a knack for detail and are attentive to home buying idiosyncrasies."
