Chicago Real Estate Firm @properties Hires Wayne Kouf To Manage Gold Coast/Streeterville Office

Kouf is a veteran Chicago real estate broker with extensive management experience and a track record for recruitment and sales growth.

CHICAGO, October 20, 2011 – Chicago real estate firm @properties announced today that it has hired Wayne Kouf as vice president of brokerage services for the company’s Gold Coast/Streeterville office. @properties’ co-founders, Michael Golden and Thaddeus Wong, made the announcement.

Kouf, 63, has built a strong track record for sales growth and recruitment during a 18-year career in residential real estate brokerage. Prior to joining @properties, Kouf was managing broker at the Lincoln Park/Halsted office of Prudential Rubloff. He also has held management positions at two other independent real estate firms in Chicago, as well as the largest real estate company in Canada.

At @properties, Kouf will be responsible for transaction management, recruitment and training/coaching in the firm’s Gold Coast/Streeterville office, which currently has over 230 licensed agents and has closed more than $700 million in sales in 2016.  He also manages the Oak Park and Elmhurst offices.

“Wayne represents a new breed of managing broker in our industry. He’s a natural motivator, has a systematic approach to agent development and puts people very much at ease,” said Golden.

“Agents thrive under Wayne. He knows what it takes to be successful in this business and, just as importantly, he knows how to impart that to a variety of individuals at different stages of their careers,” said Wong.

“I’m excited to work with the market leader, a company that not only is number one in sales but also is at the forefront of residential brokerage in terms of marketing, training and technology,” said Kouf.

Kouf grew up near Seattle, Wash. He was a vice president of sales for two large publishing companies before getting into real estate. In his first full year in the business, he closed over $15 million in sales. A short time later, he earned his broker’s license and was promoted to managing broker.

Wayne currently lives in North Center in Chicago with his wife, Karen, and son, Ethan, and enjoys, wine collecting, discovering new restaurants throughout Chicago and spending time with his family.  And is an AVID motorcyclist.

A man of high integrity and substantial experience I would jump at the chance to work for him again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.October 21, 20091st Philip Schwartz, Broker Associate, Baird & Warnerreported to Wayne at Sussex & Reilly"
