John D'Ambrogio joined @properties in 2014 as executive vice president of relocation and corporate services. During a 25-year career, he has become one of the most prolific managers of relocation and referral business in the Chicagoland real estate industry.
At @properties, John is responsible for developing and managing relationships with third-party relocation firms, overseeing relocation business among @properties' brokers, and managing broker-to-broker referrals through the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World (Leading RE) network.
Prior to joining @properties, John spent 11 years growing and managing the relocation divisions of two large Chicago-area brokerage firms. Previously, he was a principal in a relocation consulting firm that counted a number of Fortune 500 companies among its clients.
Throughout his career, John chaired a number of committees as board member of Chicago's Corporate Relocation Council, Leading RE's Advisory Council and The Relocation Directors Council. He is also an active member of The Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and a regular speaker at industry events and international conferences including the Worldwide ERC, Relocation Directors Council, Leading RE and Inman Reboot.
John also has extensive civic experience. He served as president of the Lake View East Chamber of Commerce, where he led the neighborhood rejuvenation program. He also worked as a commissioner, appointed by former Mayor Richard M. Daley, for Special Service Area No. 5 on Chicago's North Side.
A lifelong Chicagoan, John currently resides in the South Loop. Outside of work, he enjoys playing his century old grand piano and running, having completed more than a dozen marathons around the world.
John is also one of only seven inductees in Leading Real Estate Companies of The World's exclusive "Real Estate Hall of Fame."
