I guess you could call me a "real-estate junkie." Real estate has always been my passion. I loved checking the new listings and visiting open houses. I actually looked at 50 plus apartments before I bought my own condo 15 years ago. And I truly enjoyed every minute of the search.
Although I think I'm a born realtor, it was not my first career. I spent 17 years as a telecommunications marketing executive, negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts for AT&T and other companies with such customers as McDonald's, Walgreens and Motorola. I learned how to specify the details of a deal, understand legal contracts and most importantly, how to negotiate. To this day, that experience helps me guide my clients through the real-estate process from start to finish and make sure they get the best price and value.
Another valuable experience is the eight years I spent as the president of my condominium association. I am able to lead my potential buyers through the often bewildering maze of condo docs, pointing out the particulars that need to be addressed when making an offer or finalizing sale.
I love working in Chicago real-estate. I have lived in the city for 30 years. I know the neighborhoods, their history and their lifestyles. My husband, who is a Chicago Fire Department Captain and I currently live in Wrigleyville.
I have learned how to listen to my clients. I know that they are not only looking for a good investment, but also for a place that will make them happy every time they walk through the door. My highest goal to provide them with knowledgeable, professional guidance and a smooth and happy experience in their search for a new home.

"Marilyn did a great job handling the sale of my two flat. I am an out of state investor which makes simple tasks much harder. Marilyn took on the task of coordinating with my property management to conduct minor curb appeal items and scheduling of all showings and inspections.
