As a real estate broker at @properties, I value true partnerships that turn into long-term client relationships.
After 9 years of working in education, Amanda Barker joined @properties where her driving forces are a desire to help people and to maintain lasting client relationships. Amanda is a vital, invaluable partner when buying or selling a home.
Amanda's dedication to creating these types of partnerships, her love of education, and her commitment to lifelong learning motivated her to easily transition into real estate. Just as she advocated for each of her students, she strongly advocates for the best interests of each and every one of her clients.
Amanda grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, where she attended William Fremd High School. She received her undergraduate degree from UCLA and then returned to Chicago to earn her Master's in English Education from DePaul University. She has lived in the Lakeview, Lincoln Park, Wicker Park, and Logan Square neighborhoods of Chicago and currently resides in the Northwest suburbs. She loves to explore new restaurants, cafes, check out live music, read, and play with her son and two daughters.

Clients are saying:
"Amanda was constantly reaching out and checking all appropriate platforms daily in order to help us find our next home. She knew we were wanting to find something rather quickly and put forth every effort and connection she had in order to do so. She also made our selling process seamless with only one showing before the house even hit the market. This was ideal as we have young children and another on the way. She was absolutely amazing in every way."
"Amanda was such a pleasure to work with. She was able to use her network to bring in our buyer before we officially listed! We only need to show our home once which was a huge relief especially during this pandemic. Not only that, we we offered over our asking price which ended up being more than any other home in our neighborhood! Amanda was always happy to work around our schedules. She did a phenomenal job of setting our expectations and giving us advice when getting our home ready to sell. Amanda truly made a stressful process much easier and alleviated all our concerns. Amanda will always be the first person I recommend to anyone looking for an agent!"
"Amanda Barker went above and beyond for us during the purchase of our new dream home. She was readily available throughout the entire process, and she was knowledgeable, efficient and eager to negotiate on our behalf to ensure we got everything that we needed. It was an honor to work with Amanda and we will be working with her again for any real estate needs in the future."
"As a first time home buyer, I was extremely grateful for Amanda's knowledge of the local market and purchase process. Her patience and availability were second to none. She always put my needs as a client first and was a selfless resource from initial offer through closing. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone looking for an experienced advocate in their real estate transaction."
"I would highly recommend working with Amanda if you're looking for a home in the Chicago-land/suburban area. She was very knowledgeable about the different areas we were interested in and specifics things to look for and ask when viewing a home. She stuck to our criteria and sent us listings right when they came on the market. She was also very organized when scheduling showings and was able to land showings for all the houses we were interested in. On top of that, she prepared us for the buying process, getting our credit lined up prior to putting in an offer, and provided recommendations on lawyers and inspectors to engage."
